Teamwork

Our teamwork sessions involve a combination of physical and mental exercises through various obstacles/agility, swimming, and dock-diving, challenging both the dog and handler. The obstacles in agility courses can include jumps, tunnels, weave poles, and more. Swimming and Dock Diving provide excellent workouts for dogs, helping them build confidence, strength, and endurance through jumping and swimming. Cross-training is as fun for the canine as it is for humans, improving communication skills, endurance, strength, and flexibility. This type of training requires high teamwork, communication, and trust between the dog and the handler, and above all, it’s a blast! And the best part? You get to decide what to work on during your “session sets” by focusing on YOUR training goals, ensuring that the training is tailored to your dog's unique needs.

This Program Combines:
  • Cross-Training
  • Pool/Swimming/Waterwork
  • Jumping/Dock-Diving
  • Obstacles/Agility
  • One-on-One Instruction
  • Strength/Endurance or Weight Loss Training
  • Camaraderie/Teambuilding
All while working and playing together!
  • Prerequisite: Up-to-date Vaccinations/Negative Fecal Float – K-9s should be ten months or older – K-9s MUST be mature & safe around other K-9s & people!

K-9 Dock Diving & Swimming

Intro to Swim/Water Safety
Many people assume dogs are natural swimmers, but that isn't the case. Some breeds take to the water, but even specific ‘water’ breeds can drown accidentally, especially when the summer sun finds dogs of all shapes and sizes in contact with backyard pools, beaches, lakes, stock ponds, neighborhood retention ponds, and dog park swimming holes. It’s estimated that thousands of family pets die in drowning incidents each year -  most dogs enjoy cooling off in a pool or pond when it’s hot – but many could benefit from swimming or safety lessons. It is suitable for your canine companion and is great fun, too! Our instructors use positive techniques to ensure your dog enjoys the experience.  Life jackets and treats are included, and you will get wet, so appropriate attire (including non-slip shoes) is recommended.
  • Prerequisite: Up-to-date Vaccinations , Negative Fecal & Negative Giardia Test - No previous training required
Dog Dock-Diving
The "Long Jump" for Dogs. The goals of this course are designed to teach a dog and the handler to work together as a team, teaching the dog to jump the most distance into a pool. The handler throws a retrievable object into a 40' pool as the dog runs down a 40' dock and leaps out as far as they can have fun in this dog sport. No worries. If your dog has never swum, we will help with swimming lessons. Our swim instructors use positive techniques to ensure your dog enjoys the experience. Life jackets and treats are included, and you may get wet, so appropriate attire (non-slip shoes) is recommended.

Swimming & Intro to Dog Dock-Diving ("Big Air")
The goals of this class are to teach basic Dock-Diving skills, introducing your dog to the water and the dock, how to select a retrievable object, how to control your dog while on the pier, retrievable object throwing techniques, dock diving rules, etc.
  • Prerequisite:  Up-to-date vaccinations - Negative Fecal and Negative Giardia Test  - Dog should be at least six (6) months of age - No previous training required

Dog Dock-Diving (Multi-Level)
This class aims to help you improve upon "Big Air" techniques, including handler skills, increasing drive, improving lift and distance, etc.
  • Prerequisite: Up-to-date Vaccinations Negative Fecal & Negative Giardia Test  - Dog should be at least six (6) months of age
  • Skill Level: The dog must be able to currently jump off of the competition dock

Private Dog Dock-Diving Lessons or Swim Lessons

No experience necessary!  All Skill Levels Welcome!
Our swim instructors use positive techniques to ensure your dog enjoys the experience. Life jackets and treats are included, and you will get wet, so appropriate attire (non-slip shoes) is recommended.

K-9 Agility

Agility Introduction/Foundation I
The class consists of flat work, using limited agility equipment and more simplified versions of the obstacles to teach handlers how to handle the dog properly. Your dog will learn to navigate several common obstacles, such as travel dog walks, jumps, tunnels or chutes, ladders, see-saws (or teeter-totters), etc. A foundation sets the stage for a solid relationship with the dog, critical to enjoying and succeeding in agility.
  • Prerequisite:  Up-to-date Vaccinations - Negative Fecal Float - Dog should be at least 10 months of age - No previous training required
